Shiba Rath born in 1964 in the holy city of Lord Jagannath, Puri, Orissa, is a disciple of Pt. Nilakantha Mishra and Grand disciple of the Legendary Northern Indian Classical Vocalist Pt. Narayan Rao Vyas of the Gwalior Gharana. He has been singing and composing spiritual music / world music for different companies like Times Music, a division of the Times Group, Tirumala Productions, and SM Music etc. and has performed on national as well as on international stages while he was based in Germany from 1992 to1996.

For many years he has been working on the diffusion of spiritual music by composing and singing arrangements of the immortal slokas and lyrics created by the ancient Indian saints. He has brought to them his own individual style which has brought out the beauty of Indian Classical Ragas and Taals.     

He released the solo spiritual album Temple Songs of Lord Jagannath’ through Times Music in 2006 which contains Jayadev’s Geeta Govindam, Dashavatara and Jagannath Asthakam of Adi Shankaracharya which got excellent reviews by listeners and the music magazine RAVE, November,2006 edition published from Bangalore and New Work simultaneously. The E-TV Network has telecast songs sung by him in playback on numerous auspicious occasions.

 
His other solo Album called 'Jagannatha Sahasra Naama' received a huge response from all over the world.
 
'Neela Shaila', the solo album containing eight Oriya spiritual songs written by Sangram Mohapatra and music composed / sung by Shiba Rath was released on 16th March 2009 in Bhubaneswar by S.M Music.
 

'Upasana', the audio C.D dedicated to Mother has been conceptualized and written by Sangram Mohapatra and is a unique blend of spiritual melody and words from the bottom of the soul.
